Once Upon A Time...

... I had a blog. And I used to update it occasionally. I would even post random pictures of my strange children.
Then I got really really busy/lazy and forgot about it for a while. But I have many, many excuses for not posting...
  • I was working. And then working some more. I got a new job working in Community Relations at the hospital and I love it. Since in my previous life (before strange children) I worked as a publicist, it is nice to be back to a job that works my brain a little more. I'm still on-call, so I'll only be working on a project-by-project basis and the schedule is really flexible. I will not be giving up my other job in the ER because I love the crazy. Which brings me to #2...
  • I was involved in a drug bust. Because people think it's awesome to leave drugs hidden at the hospital and I love filling out police reports.
  • I was still trying to figure out my camera. I took a class. I learned a little, but am still sadly lacking. Aperture can bite me. Eric bought me a sweet new lens for my birthday. Eric rocks.
  • I was having birthdays. Am now officially oldish.
  • I was CAMPING. In the TRAILER!! We went on our first family camping trip and managed to survive in spite of a slightly leaking propane tank. More trips are planned. Eric went fishing and decided he loves it. Eric is insane.
  • I was throwing my laptop out a window. I need a new expensive laptop. Also some expensive Adobe-type software. Feel free to buy me these things.
  • I was watching Ella graduate from Kindergarten. Next year- both children will be in school FULL TIME. WEEEE!!!!! (oops, I mean- SOB. I think I'm supposed to be sad about that maybe.)
  • I was playing with my Blackberry. Sweet, sweet Blackberry... I don't know how I ever lived without you and all your internet usefulness. I heart you.
  • I was having a waterfight with my husband because AWESOME WEATHER. It's been absolutely beautiful and warm. Love the weather. Also, love the air-conditioning.
  • I was doing a community disaster drill. In case of emergency, expect to be injured and also develop a major psychological problem, because that's what all our actors in the drill did. Oh, your arm is broken AND you are pregnant with a vampire baby? How original.
  • Speaking of vampire babies, I finished the Twilight series. That's several hours of my life I will never get back. Especially the fourth book. REALLY? Did we need that vampire baby and her freaky wolf boyfriend? (By the way- spoiler alert. There's a vampire baby and a freaky wolf boyfriend in book 4.)
  • I was finding the freaking hamster. Again. After buying a new ($40!!) cage we figured out how it keeps getting loose. Apparently, the hamster has a smallish blonde accomplice who finally confessed to possibly letting the hamster "run around" and then "forgets" to put it back. Small blonde perpetrator mildly punished, heavily threatened.
See? Busy. I am slightly looking forward to the next few months of NOTHING. Just the occassional working and other random stuff. I may possibly go crazy having these kids home, but whatever. And now I am going to go put Ella and her friend in the cheap-o costco pool in the backyard for the next 6 hours. I love summer.

AUGH! A neeeew post!

(drooling all over the screen)

How when I already know most of these stories are they still interesting? That's talent, my friend.

Don't even get my started with the Twilight books. I read each one but the last (were there four? five?) I think I once had the brain power to cure cancer, but it got sucked away with Edward and his scowling forehead. And some teenage agnst. Lots of agnst.

I'm going to expect lots of summer blog posts (with lots of kid pictures!) Can't you blog from the fabulous Crackberry?
