So, I've been busy (and also boring)

But I did this...

It's PAINT. On my WALL. This is a really, really big thing for me- I have major issues when it comes to paint-color decisions. They make me sweaty. Mostly because I have a perfectly good new house with walls that are Just Fine and not Screwed Up, which is what I am afraid I will do. This particular color took me a ridiculous amount of time to pick. Just ask the woman who mixes the paint at Lowes- I'm pretty sure she hates me.

In other news, my brother Dan has moved far, far away to the magical land of Video Games. Which, apparently, is Burbank. He will make lots of money and also get free lunch on fridays. I am having a hard time not booking a flight down to California so I can make sure he is eating right and his socks match, etc. I need to remember he's a grown-up man boy. Who will probably call me with laundry questions (hopefully.)

I also got this...

My NEW LENS. And also a dirty look from my youngest child. Guess which one is more fun?

By the way, the hypothetical missing rodent turned up. After three days of sheer terror on my part and the demolition of every room in my house. He was hidden in the playroom closet, behind a bookshelf, where he had collected a huge pile of Polly Pocket paraphenilia- particularly shoes. It was really disturbing. Apparently he just wanted to get out & get fancy. After some wonderful advice (thanks, Harmony's Mom! I read your blog, too. I've been afraid to comment in case you think I'm a freak and also I am going to run away & live with you & your horses) I had prepared the girls for his eternal lost-ness by making up all sorts of lovely stories about how he went to find his family and have wild adventures and now they are a little annoyed that he is back. (What, did he not LIKE his family anymore? Is he MAD at his family? Why can't he just keep the shoes in his cage?) On the positive side, we now know that our hamster prefers to be fabulous. I guess we can just go ahead & get him those pink sparkly hamster accessories.

And now The Office is on. And I must turn my full attention to it- just in case OMG JIM AND PAM. AND A RING. I AM OBSESSED.

Whenever you have new posts, I get so overstimulated I want to write a super-long comment to show HOW MUCH I LOVE JEN POSTS.

(heh, I wrote overstimulated and super-long. Heh)

You bedroom looks FANTASTIC. I glanced at the picture and thought it was from a magazine. Like "I really wish my bedroom looked like this" I love-y love love it.

Your new lens is butta. Nice!

I could go on forever but I probably had you at super-long.

Jen, trust me, you can leave ANY comment you want - I already have several control-freaks in my family, so I don't have a problem with them (you might want to ask Harmony, however, if they have a problem with ME) - and believe me, if you ever want to run away and come live with Najale, Sally, Murray, Pandora and me, you are welcome. Besides, now that I know you're a pretty good painter, and I have three rooms that DESPERATELY need color - how about free room and board (i.e. my husband's cooking, since I went on strike when my youngest moved away, and the spare bedroom full of food storage and extra water) ... at least until we get the paintng finished ;-)
