Beautiful Camera (oh, and my kids)

The sun came out yesterday. For the first time in approximately 4 months. Marvel in the fabulous pasty-ness of my small children! It's practically freak show worthy. I will have to get some SPF 500 for vacation, or our entire family will spontaneously combust.

Since I have the new camera, I forced the girls out into the blazing sun (outside temp- 45 degrees! Stay in the sunlight, kids!) so I could try it out. See the above picture where they are trying to figure out the strange Dora-themed contraption for outside use? (Wha? You're supposed to RIDE on it?? Insane!) That's how much they've been out of the house lately. They eventually got it down. Then I followed them around for an hour taking pictures. Then I followed the neighbor kid around. I now realize the one and only problem with having no camera lag- I now have 9 million pictures and will have to weed through them all to get rid of the crap (which makes up about 99% off it all.) Then I feel guilty about deleting the semi-crap, because I'm all "I can't DELETE my PRESHUS CHILDREN!" and whammo- my hard-drive is full of garbage. So I'm going to get some removeable hard drives and maybe designate one for the mediocre. Come to think of it, I have entire areas of my house designated for mediocre stuff that I MIGHT use some day but probably not. Like whole sections of my closet. I need to get ruthless & start tossing this stuff out. I need to start paring things down & live more simply. I need to figure out why writing about removeable hard drives makes me get all existential and I probably need to stop watching Oprah.

So I'm off to eat organically and recycle and buy those reusable grocery bags that I will forget to take with me when I go to the store. Or maybe I'll just go take some more pictures. Yeah, probably just that.

Woot! Woot!

The second I saw there was a comment on my page, I booked it over here to see if you had pictures up.

GORGEOUS! (thus, the WHOOT! which helps me maintain my 'I am middle-aged white woman" status)

Look at you! You have apeture! You have depth of field! I have no idea what I'm talking about! This looks amaing though!

Is it just me or do your girls have the most fabulous skin ever? Hello, Netrogena contract! Woot (well, now I've overdone the woot. I'm banned from it for six months)

Long Comment Ever! Holla!

Oh, and the deleting. Soon you will have so many pictures of your kids, you will delete seconds after taking anything.

Trust me.
