Party Like a Rock Star.

So we've been mighty, mighty busy around here this week. I think I'm going to make a executive decision and postpone Christmas to around, I don't know, February? Because I am just not so prepared right now. I did the shopping part, the tree decorating thing, the festive house stuff... right now I am even watching the Wonder Pets celebrate the birth of Our Lord and Saviour, but I think I am done. Thanks, Christmas, and buh-bye. I need a nap.

So here's how full of Christmas Joy we've been... Tuesday Ella had her Preschool Christmas Program. It was her Very First Only Ella Event, no Grace Involved. She was super excited. I was super nervous- there is nothing like putting your child on a stage and waiting to see what crazy things go down. Especially four year olds, it can really go either way. I had a little problem with wanting to throw down with a mom (okay, it was a grandma, but a YOUNG grandma. Fighting with Grandmas in a church just makes me sound like a very very evil person, so I will just lie and say MOM) who freaking stole my seat. She moved my child's coat. It was OBVIOUSLY there, and she just moved it, and I was all polite and "excuse me?" and she ignored me ON PURPOSE. And then she tried to save seats on the other side of her and I was all like OH NO YOU DIDN'T and then it all got blurry because my father physically restrained me (seriously) in what I am pretty sure is the "polite" way you're supposed to do it in public.
Where was I? (I'm all mad again. Stupid woman.) This was supposed to be about my child, I think. Anyways- I ended up just going up around the front of the Chapel with the rest of the crazy mothers and taking pictures, which didn't really turn out because of the wierd lighting. Ella had a good time, though- not as good as the girl next to her that did a little strip show & swung her little red velvet coat over her head (I love preschoolers!) but still, she did great.

Wednesday night Eric & I tried to be cool and went to a charity event my brother helped put on for an organization that provides video games for local pediatric units. It was at a club in Fremont, and in honor of the occasion Eric and I made a super-lame attempt at Coolness. I think he might of succeeded- unfortunately for me, eyeliner+earrings does not equal Cool. The club had set up Rock Band (the Xbox 360 game, but you probably already knew that because you're cooler than me) and people were playing to win fabulous prizes. My brother Dan is the KING of Rock Band (and mostly all things Video Game related) so no-one could touch his band's super crazy million-point+ score. If you ever have an opportunity to see people play Rock Band on stage, I highly recommend it. The mocking possibilities are endless. And also, if you ever get the chance to see your 19 year old brother who somehow got snuck into the club run around like a scared rabbit just because you may tell him lies about how they're carding everyone again, do that too. Especially if it involves him running into walls and hiding in the bathroom.

Last night, Eric and I went to Walmart. Because apparently we have a death wish. And I was feeling like my soul needed sucked from my body just a little. And it was the only place open at 9pm, which is when I bribed my brother to come over & make sure the girls didn't leave the house while we were gone. It was so trailer park I can't even talk about it. Could somebody please explain to me why 3 year olds need to be in Walmart at 11pm? And not wearing shoes even though it's snowing outside? And also, could someone stop the screaming?

Wonder Pets is over, and now there is some freaky Yo Gamma Something show on. WTF is THIS?? I'm a little frightened. And my dog is even sitting here watching it with a confused look on his face. I need to find the remote before I am permanently damaged (not to mention the harm it appears to be causing my dog.)

Marry me now. We can watch Yo Gamma Gamma all day long.

(what's with your word verification when I want to leave a comment? The masses of people on here need to be regulated? I knew it!)

I would also like that cross stick pattern made for my house. Thank you
